Book translation

Do I need an agent if I want to get into literary translation? If so, any suggestions?

I already earn my daily crust as a translator, but I think it's about time for a slight sea change and literary translation is a bit more creative than EU protocols and reports!

I would like to know more about this too. My book is not written in english and I do not want to publish it in my country.

Here's a suggestion and a link for you Philip.

As you are a translator, have you considered classic retellings.

Geraldine McCaughrean has made a success of modernizing classic tales.
