Hello (whoever you are reading this!),
Hopefully someone can help me!
So I’m completely new to the literary world, although I’ve always had a good imagination and now a desire to get something published.
I’ve finished four short rhyming children’s stories, and also part way through two much larger works.
Up until now, every agency I’ve approached have let me know they don’t represent children’s book authors.
Does anybody know of any agencies / agents that might be willing to look at my stories for representation?
Fingers and toes crossed!

Hi Martyn,
Congratulations on finishing your rhyming children's stories and being in a position to start querying your work. That's really exciting and a huge accomplishment to have finished work under your belt.
You're in luck that there are hundreds of agencies/agents who represent children's book authors!
Might I recommend one (or more) of the following resources?
The Children's Writers' & Artists' Yearbook has been published for 21 years and contains up to date contact information for hundreds of publishers and literary agencies who represent children's books authors and illustrators. You can, of course, buy this from the Bloomsbury site, Amazon, Waterstones etc., but equally your local library will likely have a copy for you to browse.

If you want a digital resource then our digital Subscriptions and Agent Pages give you access to individual literary agent profiles. You can filter your searches with relevant keywords for you, e.g. writing for children, picture books, younger years etc.
You can find out more about our Subscriptions: https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/shop/subscriptions
Equally, a good old fashioned internet search for children's books literary agencies will yield useful results, but the reason that the book and subscription exists is to make the research process that bit easier for writers.
Hope this all helps and wishing you the best of luck with it all.
Clare
