On Inspiration, Perspiration and Creative Desperation

13th January 2025 12:30pm to 1:30pm, Online

Writer and editor Hattie Crissell has spoken to some of the world's best writers about their approaches to the craft, inspiration and courage in her new book 'On Inspiration, Perspiration and Creative Desperation'!

In our January masterclass, Hattie will share her own insight, and the advice of the many wonderful writers she has interviewed for her book, as she discusses how to get, and stay, inspired, and how to know which ideas are worth pursuing. She'll discuss how to begin shaping these ideas stories and how to find out what sort of form your story will become.

Hattie will also share some of the different writing processes and methods that the writers in your book talk about, and offer advice on how writers can find their own process.

Plus she'll offer advice on how writers can push through writer's block and the moments where it isn't working!

This masterclass will take place online via Teams. It will also be recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you'll be able to catch-up and access the recording for up to two weeks after the event has taken place. The session will end with a brief Q&A, so come ready with your questions!
