Children's illustrations

I have wrote some children's books but at the moment I have not got the drawings for the books. I have asked someone to do them but not sure if they are able. Would I need these before speaking to an agent or would I need all that complete? Are there artists on here or elsewhere that I can contact to look at my work/submit drawings etc? Thanks for any help in advance.

Most publishers prefer to choose their own illustrators so submitting your story with another person's illustrations isn't usually recommended. If they like one, but not the other, they'll reject both.

If you click on the Advice button at the top of this page you'll find a Writing for Children section with more info.

Hello Sean,

I'm an illustrator and I would like to see your work, maybe we can make something together.

You can find mine at www.jorepetto.com.

I hope you like it!

I'm looking forward to hearing from you,

Jo
