Competitions

Hi all, just a quick one. I've entered a few competitions over the years but they were mostly with my school which I have finished now. Does anyone know of any sites that will help me find writing competitions (other than Writers and Artists whose competition piece I am working on) I have uploaded a piece for another competition I found but being nearly finished with the Writers and Artists one as well I'm finding I have nothing to occupy me till uni :( Thank you :)

Hi Victoria, I have a membership to the web site called " Authonomy" which is a very interesting site. It offers help, advice, and runs free competitions. It also like this site holds a free grading on your written work. Unlike the W&A site The above site lets you post more than one piece of work at a time. Give it a shot and tell me what you think. All the best.

Hi Victoria,

This is my Bible: http://www.prizemagic.co.uk/html/writing_comps.htm

There are details of all sorts, including ones specifically for young adults and teenagers. I check it every day! Have fun :-)
