Hello Iam new and I have just been contacted by a publisher for my childrens book I have no idea about the legal side of things in the email they asked, please let us know what you are asking for the rights to your text?

I have no idea about what to do next. Who do I speak to I don't have a literary agent. Would be grateful if anyone on here knows. Thank you

Agree with the above. Contacting agents and telling them you have a publisher interested already should get your foot in the door much faster than just an unsolicited submission. You could also try the Authors Guild, though I'm not so sure about that one

Contact an agent/agency ( preferably more than one ) in the writers and artists yearbook

Be certain that they deal with childrens books.

Tell them you have a publisher interested, and that should gain their attention.

Agents will have the experience to take care of any legal concerns you may have.
