contract offer

hi,

I've been offered a contract from Floricanto Press (California) for signing in the next week. I've a range of multilingual word books in a variety of languages. Does anyone have any experience with this publisher or any advice for me? I don't have an agent or any previous experience in this field of work. If anyone could be of assistance and maybe have a look over the proposed contract for me I'd hugely appreciate the help!!

Thanks in advance.

If you are being rushed into signing a contract - the best answer is usually NO. Get an agent to check it over, they have the experience of dealing with such things.

Look at it this way; if your work is wanted because it is good, the publisher will wait for you to obtain advice.

Agreements can sometimes be a minefield. The Society of Authors will vet contracts, if you join, and ALLi offer contract advice, again if you're a member.
