I agree with Louise - start your own. It's easy enough, and free, with Wordpress or Blogger (and there are other hosts).
When I began mine my main concern was that I'd be able to write sufficiently interesting content, regularly, to attract a following. I think that's the key. I post an article about once a month, but plenty of bloggers manage weekly or even daily posts.
You will build up a following, though it does take time. And using a link as part of your signature when you post on other forums is a big help.
