Do you intend to self-publish, or try the traditional route to get published

Has your attitude changed to self-publishing, and if so, why?

I still intend to get published via the traditional route.

I want to try the traditional way as well. I am just starting on my cover letter and as my novel has taken over 3 years to write-I will see how long the publishing route could take.

Its a series of journeys-having the idea and executing for first draft-taking feedback and trying to make to achieve a final draft-sending out to agents and then depending on response incorporating more changes.

With self-publishing, a lot of the publicity will be self-managed. That must be exhausting-writing a book at some stage has to be a collaboration-we do need a helping hand.

Damien, that is word-for-word completely identical to the rejection I received. I only sent mine out once. I think I just wanted the first rejection so I could say I tried (even though one submission hardly counts as trying) before beginning the self-publishing process, which is the route I've always wanted to take. I'm currently saving my pennies for a professional edit.
