Hi everyone, I'm new to W&A and was just wondering what is the best way to share my work? If I share a sample chapter can anyone see it or only the people I have 'connected' with? And also how do you find people to connect with? I have requested to connect with a couple of people who I have seen on the Q&A page but wonder is this the best way to find people with similar interests?

Many thanks

Hi Clare, if you put your work on the shared works section, everyone can see it. Everyone can comment on it too. Connecting with other members means you can enter into private conversation with them. As to who you choose, that's up to you: someone who writes similar things, or whose comments you find useful, or who asks the same sort of questions - it's not an exact science!

Bear in mind that if you are planning to use the same piece of work for a competition, some judges would count it as having been published - it's out there for people to read - so could disqualify it as an entry.
