Hello all, I'm new here and hope to get to know a lot of you on here at some point!
I was hoping to get some feedback for my Arvon 2012 entry - my debut short story! - simply as I don't have many literary minded people in my life to give me feedback!
I'm curious as to whether this is something anyone would be interested in doing? Or do I have to build up a raport before gaining something as invaluable as feedback?
Also, would this affect the entry in anyway? In the sense of disqualification due to some kind of breach of terms and conditions? (For which I haven't noticed, but you never know...)
Thanks in advance to those willing to respond! :)
Yes, I agree totally with Denis. Good luck Sebastian. I hope you find some useful feedback, which, as we all know, is SO valuable. But don't prejudice your entry. Wait a day or so for the results.
Hi Sebastian
I'm relatively new here myself but I have found that if you post your writing under 'Writer's shared works' there are plenty of good people willing to advise and comment on it even if just to say they enjoyed it or didn't get it. However, a cautionary point - do not post any competition entry onto a sharing forum until the competition is closed i.e. the winners have been announced or I am fairly sure you will adversely impact your entry. After winners have been declared I think (although clarification should be sought from more reliable sources) that you are safe to share with the world...unless of course you are a winner in which case you will be subject to t&c.
I guess usual good practice on sites such as this is just to ease yourself in gently, see what other people are doing and check previously asked questions. Welcome and good luck!
