Hi. I am writing a book about Trayvon Martin's murder and its cover-up. I know very little about book publishing. I am almost done writing the body of the book. Is there any advice you can give me as a writer of my first book and getting it published? Thank you.
I wanted to get the book out as soon as possible. If getting an agent and all will take more than a year to get the book out, then Imight want to by-pass that since my book is about current events.
My book is about crime and government cover-up.

You need to find an agent first not a publisher. Make sure your MS is 100% right before you even think of sending it to anyone.
If its a horror find the agent that works with horror and not children's books. Follow their guidelines.
