Games and stories :)

Hi all! Recently I got writer's block in regards to my novel so put it to one side. I did however want to write something as I was in the mood to put pen to paper. A friend of mine as a joke told me to write a short piece using his name... So I did. I enjoyed it so much I actually posted a status on Facebook taking requests from people as to what genre they wanted me to put their name into... Needless to say I was given some genres I'm confident at and others I'd never tried! I'm definitely having fun but was wondering if anyone else found ways to bring other people into their writing? Is this something that could benefit my future work?

there are similar activities where you can contribute to the story plot line...I think that is one on radio 4, then there is write yourself into stories...that is a I think one for children where they put names in for characters so the story is personal....I write a fair bit of academic stuff which is often collaborative ...academic stuff is full of co-produced writing....

Ouch! A block in one's passion - not that does sound painful!

Hi Khai, thank you for your comment. I'm only planning on doing this for a week or two so that I can then go back to my novel and see it through fresh eyes before continuing but thank you!

Hi Mark, that's true! I know many people who get blocks in their passion! Thank you! :)
