Hi All

Wondering if I can obtain some advice regarding gay friendly agents/publishers.

As I seem to be hitting a brick wall. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi, Dave,

Apart from the problem raised by Marlon and Paul, which in an ideal world shouldn't be a problem at all, the best way to find a publisher with whom you think you can work is to see who publishes the books you like to read.

What responses are you getting when you send your work for consideration? Nobody likes to get rejections, but we all do; even the most published of authors probably started out with a pile of rejection letters. Make sure you're not mistaking comment on the quality of your work for comment on the content. If they're saying, 'Thanks, but this is not a subject that fits with our output,' maybe you haven't done your homework properly.

If you have a favourite author, a bit of research could find their agent, too.

Good luck, and keep trying!

Hi Dave, I too am at a loss at understanding what these people might be saying to you. Is there any chance you can elaborate?

Hi Dave,

I am at a loss here. In one way, I am also quite disturbed by your question.

As far as I know, no agents/publishers would discriminate anyone based on gender, race, sexuality, religion, politics, etc if your literary works are 'saleable' to them, i.e. it generates public enthusiasms, hence, it has market potential.

That's all.

Regards,

Marlon
