Genres!

I'd love to know what everyone is writing.

What genre do you write?

It'd be lovely if you all shared. I'm getting tingles imagining all those lovely books waiting to be read.

I'm with Adrian - historical action/adventure, though more adult. Two young cavalrymen fighting with Wellington's army in Portugal and Spain. 'Sharpe on horseback' someone said, but not really the same apart from the setting.

Currently writing book 3 which is a bit of a struggle because half of it takes place on board ship, and I'm definitely no sailor :)

My novel is an action-adventure, historical novel for ten year olds and upwards in the chivalric genre.

It's about a noble knight whose ambition is to cleanse his beloved homeland of his enemies and win the hand of the women he loves

It has been a long, exhausting mind-bendingly hard struggle, with many head-scratching moments. I have cut 70,000 words and am now left with 73,000, but every word must earn its keep.

I still have a few thorough edits to do. I need to sharpen the dialogue and reshape some scenes, however, I'm very happy with my plot, sub-plot and storyline.

I hope to finish the editing process by Easter 2016.

Oh, I didn't mention what I'm writing.

I'm writing a thriller.
