It has been a very long time since I have written or even edited my novel and I must say that now that I have some actual free time while I am off work I am struggling to get started back up again. It feels rather daunting to go over my 50,000+ words and edit.
Does anyone have any good tips for 'getting back into the swing of things'?
It is good to read work again after a lengthy gap, your fresh eyes will pick up on mistakes and typos and you will find yourself correcting these and tweaking that little sentence there and and that word could change and pretty soon you'll be in full edit mode.
