Help!

Hi, so, I've been working on and planning and idea for a few weeks now, and I'm happy enough with the idea I've come up with, I think it is something I can really work with. I know where I want to go with it, etc, However I'm having extreme diffuclty trying to write the first paragraph. I want something that really going to draw the reader in and something thats either going to get them thinking or something that will make them want to continue reading. Only problem is I'm having a severe block at the moment. Any advice, help or ideas? Would really be appreicated!

What I came to know when I started writing my first draft was that the beginning was pretty horrible! I'm almost finished redrafting my work and I've come back to the beginning - they do, as you said, have to draw in the reader but you probably won't get it right the very first time you write it out, but that's okay, when you come back to it, maybe then you'll have a better idea as to how it want it to be!

I have to admit I always find it difficult trying to get things started but you have obviously worked it out. As you can see we all have a similar problems at some time or other.
