Whilst I have not experienced direct contact with publishers, P is right. Absolutely agree. Do not pay anyone. Perhaps you could use this site to help you find an agent. This site will also help you to prepare prior to researching a suitable agent. Take your time and do the research. I wish you all the best for the future.
