I heard if you read a lot of books that are similar to what you're writing, that can help.

Write as much as you can.

Self-help books, they give you really solid advice and tips.

Despite the rise in popularity of writing courses, I don't think there is a simple answer out there. Reading often and widely helps. Writing, re-writing, re-writing and then more re-writing helps. Oh - and if you're not enjoying what you're writing, there's a good chance people won't enjoy reading it.
