One thing to watch out for though Tiago, is to not say anything derogatory about an agent's current authors. Believe it or not, people still send requests to agents and say things such as 'My work is probably in the same field as that of Joe Soap, whom you represent, but I think you'll agree mine is far more accomplished.' and so on.

Another point to bear in mind is that while an agent may claim to represent certain types of work or styles, if they a couple of really successful authors on their list already in that field, they may be loathe to push your work when they are also trying to push their incumbent clients, who are already making them money.

So if an agent does ask to meet you or sends you a contract, beware of any clauses about this that may be hidden within different words.

Good luck.
