My piece of work is a collection of cartoon illustrations and accompanying texts. The common theme works along the line of "100 things you can do with......" Not every agent will specialise in this genre. So, the question is, what do I do now? how do I get it looked at and by whom ?
Hey, well obv you need to make sure its ready first :)
Personally, because it is more niche than a lot of books, rather than trawl through agent sites I would go to that section in the local bookshop/library and find out who represents/publishes books like that. At least you will have a good starting point for further research.
Best of luck.
Part of the answer is in your post. Find agents or publishers that specialise in your genre (not sure what that is). Look at works they've published ... take it from there.
Good luck
Well, you should see the Writer's and Artists Yearbook, unless I'm wrong, it has all sorts of information about these things and a lot more useful information concerning other things.
