How do you get to write a Blog on W&A?

How am I able to write a Blog post for W&A? Is this only available for publishers and agents and professional people in the publishing industry? Or is it open to novices to this site, like myself? If it is open to me, and as I cannot find instructions, could someone tell me how to do it?

Many thanks.

Hi Kaye,

We have been using the blog as an area to bring in experts, industry professionals or authors who can share valuable tips and insight. We are currently evaluating how best to open this up to our users too-we know from the Q&A section that many of you have equally valuable insights to share! We are considering offering a blog series as a competition prize, so keep your eyes peeled for an announcement.

Best wishes

W&A team

thank you Victoria. That makes sense, I guess. But it's terribly frustrating that you can't post more of your own work on here.

I was wondering that the other day simply because I noticed the tab on the blog page that suggested I was able to post a blog. I wonder if it would simply not appear if you aren't labelled as a practitioner in your profile or if admin would just remove any unauthorised blog. I assume so. But I think it is probably open to anyone who has something directly of interest to add, as long as permission is sought. I suspect for those of us who are yet to publish, that would be restricted to a short series on becoming involved with the process, as Ian Phillips was. I think his blog was quite successful and I hope they do agree to follow someone else's journey.
