Have you got an editing checklist?

Hi Adrian,

Sorry I didn't spot your post yesterday! May I ask, what's on your editing checklist? I'm interested in this sort of thing.

I don't have an editing checklist. I've found it's easiest for me to print out what I've written so far, read it and make corrections on the page, then go back and edit the document. It also works for me not to look at the work for several weeks then go back with a fresh eye and try to be as objective as possible - I find this helps me to eliminate scenes or passages that aren't really adding anything to the plot.
