Hi, everyone! It's me again. In this oportunity I want to know what's your opinion about how do you write an accent in the dialogues their novel. Well, I do this question because I'm writing my story and in it there are some characters (a Northern Irish boy, a Scottish girls, etc.) and I don't know how do I writing these accents. Any advise?

I'm from Northern Ireland, so I can help you with that one! I don't think you can really write how we talk well on a page - apparently we leave out a lot of 'ing's but it is mainly how we say our 'o' sounds and our tone with 'r's that make the difference.

However, we do have a lot of colloquialisms which are only used over here. For example, we never say 'it was really fun' instead we would say 'it was good craic.' Sometimes you can portray where a character is from by how they respond and their little sayings, idioms for example. If you want to know any, just say so and I'll write some down!
