i'm working on a fantasy book series. finished the first book, and want to know what my next step should be?
my goal is to publish the series in england. i talked with people in this business, some told me to edit the book first in my own language and only then to translate (all with professional editor\translator), some told me that the translator edit anyway then i should save my money and since i want to publish in the uk, some told me that there is a different between american translation and british.
so what should be the next step i need to take with my book after i finish it? to who do i turn first?
and after the above, (since i live in israel) how should i search for publications?
can you recommend me on agencies i can turn to?

i can do this, but there is not one person who didn't tell me that fantasy novel books aren't that popular in israel. it's a too small of a country, and one of the, if not the most, hardest occupation here is a writer.
