I'm from Botswana in Africa. I've read lots of books & my favorite being the works of Robert Ludlum & John Grisham.I believe i'm a good writer & my dream is to see my name outside a book cover someday but in a country such as mine, where writing is a skill u learn in school only 2 pass your exams the dream seems impossible!
My question is..how does one keep doing something they love with so litle suport?also, how would u ever know u are good enough a writer if the only person who ever gets 2 critique you is you?
Thank u very much Mehdi for saying that!writing is indeed for oneself but sometimes the joy of it is in sharing that beautiful piece u have created with the rest of the world.I get so much pleasure from reading other people's stuff and sometimes u want your fellow countrymen to share those same sentiments with you!but thank u..I will keep writing and stay patient
Thank u Dolores!I will share my work
Hello Atang,
I know how hard it is to keep on writing with poor or even with no support, but, when you think back to that, there a simple answer : you're are writing four yourself, for the pleasure of doing it, for the satisfaction of creating something.
I believe you don't have to think of your name on a cover, you just have to keep on writing, to improve yourself, to be patient, and the rest will follow
Good luck
