Jacob Jones self publishing update

by damien Isaak
10th June 2013

Hi everyone just a quick update on my self publishing dilemma. As some of you may know the book release is on the 18th Of June. It's no surprise to report that I am still not there with the publishing company. We are only missing Bandstand, hardback copies and most importantly press release and e-book.

I decided this weekend coming I would spend three days in London with my boy before he heads off to Germany for four years. The good news was he would've been home The following weekend for the book launch. The sad news is that the venue I was to launch my book in has had a management change and they have no record of me being booked in. It looks like all this hard work has been a waste of time and I am finally mentally and physically exhausted with the whole situation.

If I was ever a believer in things weren't meant to be this surely would have to be one of those situations. On a lighter note Monday is almost over.

Yours sincerely the very exhausted Damian

I agree with David and Sonya.

I can't really think of anything more to add except for an old cliché which I, as I'm sure you, would usually avoid. But it's true.

The night's always darkest just before the dawn.

Keep the faith :)

aw, that's too bad Damien. But don't let it get you down, you are still far ahead of many people-you finished a first draft-redrafted till you were ready to publish-had the courage to choose self-publishing, made a website, chose the cover-a lot of work that many other writers will aspire to.

If things didn't turn out as expected-well 'Stand and Fight' as was said in Monty Python.
