I have just posted my entry for the short story competition with only WAYB14 in the subject line. I forgot to add 'competition'. Will it still be recognized?

if you got a reply e-mail then yes it got to them but if you didn't get the automatic reply then I think chances are it didn't get to them. But I'm not 100% sure was something I read in someones post. Good luck. Regards Paul.

Oh Julie, we are a wee bit similar in this respect. I made a mistake too and then I worry about it. I hope they won't take into consideration of the minor mistakes we make. I guess we worry over nothing. We have already submitted our story, be it with or without mistakes. Let's just keep our fingers crossed. :-D
