Might I suggest, since there are (I believe) only 20 shortlisted and just one reader of these, that you publish their names AFTER the event. This way, it will not compromise the anonymity, which of course we understand while the competition is going on.
But a writer needs all the kudos they can get for both their own self-esteem and for their CVs when writing to agents and publishers. To be able to say they made the shortlist is an important thing.
Please can you let us know if this is possible? I know that it would mean a lot to everyone who entered.
