I once went to the Winchester festival! Winchester University is like a rabbit warren and you need more than a map to get you by. A satnav would be useful. I expect it has changed a lot and I know people who go back year upon year but getting to the appropriate place on time is a nightmare. If you have travelling expenses to consider as well I wouldn't even consider it although they always have good speakers.
