While browsing the net I came across this scheme which funds writers to write, and up to £10,000. It is available to Welsh writers, established and new. It was a surprise to me that such a fund was available to assist with the creative process. Does anyone know of other such schemes?

Yes, the Open College of the Arts have a bursery scheme for their distance learning courses, but it's called something else (which I can't remember, so you'll have to do a little digging around).
That's the only one I know of I'm afraid. Maybe try Googling 'bursery schemes for creative writing', see what comes up?
