Mentoring as a service?

Not for the writing but for all the other stuff that you would desperately like to avoid in the journey from manuscript to published book - is such a service possible, available or even valuable? Where is that benign, old, fatherly friend when you need him? Does it work with a friendly, old or young but experienced stranger?

Thanks Victoria, of course you are right. I guess I am not used to feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed. I was a normal person until I finished the manuscript.

Again, your comments were appreciated.

It can work. A stranger is just someone you haven't got to know yet and can grow into the the friend you speak of, but even if they don't they could certainly save you from some costly pitfalls.
