Microsoft Word Alternatives

My trial on Microsoft Office has ended and to be honest for what Microsoft Office is I do not believe it is worth the price. Are there any good alternatives to MO. I have tried Open Office - which is okay but I don't really like it.

Thank you.

There is another version of openOffice, called LibreOffice (www.libreoffice.org), which you might like to try.

I believe the development of openOffice has ceased (at least for new features, it is still supported) and the same code was branched for further development under the new name.

If you have an alternative such as open office, you can generally save in an MS Word compatible version or as a PDF. Either should be fine.
