New writing, previous comments

Can anyone tell me how to delete the previous, and now unapplicable comments when one wants to post a new piece of writing?

If you're referring to the "shared work" section, I believe that you can't. (By "believe", I mean "am almost absolutely sure". Only admin can delete posted comments of any kind. [So be careful what you write...])

I know that this can get confusing. Comments that have absolutely nothing to do with your current project, so that other users go "WHAAAAAAA...?"

What I did (https://www.writersandartists.co.uk/profile/jimmy-hollis-i-dickson/work) was to write a comment myself:

"I'm going to copy my 2nd "shared work" into one of these "comment" boxes (the one just after this one, in fact), inform you that Lorraine's comment beginning "That's magic" - and my subsequent reply - refer to it and no other work of mine, and that all earlier comments were attached to my first "shared work", and - after all that - upload my newest work in progress as the main body of this page. Comments on all 3 works can be submitted."

Some less verbose variation of that might serve you. You DO have to make it clear: "All comments after this one are to do with my newer work. All earlier comment had to do with a disappeared work."
