Noms de plume

Or should that be nom de plumes? Anyway.

To continue the discussion on writer's names, I wondered - if you plan to take an alias, do you use it to approach an agent? Presumably the agent will need to know your real name at some point. Do you pull it out of the hat after a (hopefully) successful application or wear it up front?

I would concentrate on your real name. I find it frustrating when I get two names to attach to the same piece of work. A nom de plume is something to look into later.

I have to agree with Louise. Real name along with your address and then under the title of the piece your nom de plume.
