Not very up to date or is it?

I'm trawling through the 2012 version of this fantastic book and find that some of the Publishers are either closing or not accepting submissions anymore. Do they really get that bombarded or is it a case of first come, first served? It is a tad misleading, because I am really going to try this time and feel rejected without even submitting anything!

I wondered this too; about six months ago, I started researching just how exactly you go about getting published once you are happy with your work.

I came to the conclusion, after seeing that Christopher Little were accepting submissions, and now that they are not, that anything that has gone to print such as the WAYB could in itself be considered a work of fiction as the agents can change their mind at any time.

I did however find that some publishers are accepting submissions, so it really does depend when you look and who you are looking at.

I guess it's a case of being ready to strike while the iron is hot...

Jane just said everything: "Publishers might not be accepting subs but agents are."

Publishers might not be accepting subs but agents are. Also, Amazon are not selling this issue at the moment because they are loking into a complaint. Did you buy your issue direct from the publisher or a reputable book shop or from a bookshop on line?
