I keep reading people talking about this, and I was wondering if it really matters what the novel is typed up on, at the moment I'm using OpenOffice and was wondering if it'll be better if I got something else.

Hi Antionette, I was looking into Scrivener because I heard a published author say she started using it and found it immensely helpful. It allows you to get a better overview so that you can add notes and put your novel into different sections and access these sections more easily. The way I write is so all over the place that I thought it might be useful to be able to dip into different parts of the novel more easily. I put the rough content of my chapters into an excel spreadsheet to refer to but just thought that software that keeps it all in one place might be quite cool!
