Just sending my whole manuscript off as requested to Pegasus, Elliot and McKenzie publishers. Has anyone had any dealings with them or knows of them?

I would warn authors to steer clear of Pegasus. They had someone proof read it for them and then they sent the ms for me to edit. NO editting done in house. Then they set the price at £12.99, making it too expensive. I have reduced the price of the few I have left down to £9.99, just to sell them. Probably make hardly anything out of that. I forget hoe much I had to pay for those copies.

It is very difficult to find a way through the maze of publishers, most of whom eventually want a payment. Can anyone recommend to me a publisher, even one with a charge, who would be reliable and be able to market a book on African political history ?

Thanks Louise and Katie-Ellen. Both comments are gratefully received. I have been on Mick Rooney's blog also and a few other forums.
