picture books for adults

I was wondering, is it possible to make picture books for adults?

I mean, at first it's a laughable idea, but then you can see the practical side- some adults don't have time to read, and a picture book, with simple pictures, reasonable amount of words, and a deep double meaning... would it work?

what excites me the most is the deep double meanings...

give me your opinions!

Not sure how it would work? Word count etc and amount of pictures would be different to childrens picture books, but at least its an original idea! Plus there may be options of tailoring towards adults with learning difficulties or people who have had strokes and have to learn to read over again?

Yes probably would be a good idea for people that don't really have that time to read!
