Pseudonym

I would like to enter writing competitions and write generally under a pseudonym. In the (unlikely/or whatever) chance that I win something in a competition, do I give the competition organisers my pen-name with real name underneath in the appropriate place/entry form?

I do not want the complications of opening another bank account under a nom de plume.

Also, I do not want to confuse the postman, so could I use my real name for postal/ contact purposes?

yes he is right, pseudo name is only for writing purpose, all other purposes will be handled by your real name.

I can't see any issue here.

Financial and contractual agreements would be conducted under your real name.

All corresponding post would be addressed to you, all payments would go to your assigned bank account etc.

Only the stories themselves would be credited to your nom de plume.

No worries.
