Punctuation

How do I improve my punctuation? I try and try to get it right but when I read the comments of the posts in shared work almost every one makes a remark about punctuation. Are there any online sites I could use to help me sort this problem out it's getting to me a little bit now and I don't want to give up writing because of this.

You can tell how ignorant I am as I thought 'Eats, Shoots, and Leaves' was a cookbook.

and since I never bother with cookbooks I never tried to find out what it was all about.

Maybe I'll buy it.

You might try (if you haven't done so already) the book 'Eats, Shoots & Leaves' by Lynn Truss. There are many books on the subject, and more formal than 'E,S&L' I found 'The Penguin Guide to Punctuation' useful.

Online sites may have their uses, but having several books on punctuation to hand gives me greater confidence. Build up your library, it is worth the effort.
