The Angel of Mons is the famous legend of a vision which appeared to British soldiers during 1914 as their expeditionary force was being pushed back by the German advance during an early stage of the First World War.
In my WIP I intend using a similar legend, but moving it back 200 years to fit in with my story.
Anyone else tried something similar?
Visions appear in many legends and myths, like King Arthur and Norse Mythology. There are many prophetic dreams in the bible and other religious books. Used correctly they add a magical quality to a novel. I use dream sequences in my novel. They have a strong influence on my protagonist.
