Is this a safe place?

Hi, is this a safe place for the severely grammatically challenged writer? I enjoy writing, I even entered the 2016 Short Story Competition, but I have no clue where a comma is and is not welcome. Or what the heck a preposition (among other things) is. If I post some of my poetry or short stories on these boards will I be ridiculed? Ignored? Shunned? If my writings make you grind your teeth can you grin and bare them? Oh! Hi!

Hi Paul, thank you so much for sharing your experience and insight. I am looking forward to becoming a part of this wonderful community. I always appreciate good critique even if it seems a bit harsh. I realize my writing needs help so I'm never offended by that. It is good to know that people here are kind and helpful.

All the best. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello E, I, like you am challenged in much the same way, this site and the people who help is brilliant. I can only speak from personal experience and nobody not one has ever made fun of any writer that has shared their work. If you ask for an honest critique you will get just that, never criticism. You will become better at what you do if you take the good advice that is proffered here. Safe? Yes very safe.
