script research

I'm writing about a real person now deceased and I need to talk to her son. Anyone got good advice on the best way to find people without hiring a private detective?

May sound simple but a good search engine might work, something like google or yahoo. If you have multiple answers it would be easy enough to identify the right person through research of the person
