Have I caught your attention?
I just wondered why, as a writing community we don't seem to communicate that well. As a frequent flyers of four writing related sites, why is it on this one, people are unwilling to critique other peoples work. Aren't we here to help each other in any way we can?
As to myself, I attempt to review at least two or three per week, even though I'm currently re-drafting my own MS. Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm only trying to get people talking and helping each other, because without that, how do we know if what we are writing is any good.
So come on, who's behind me on this? Let us make a brilliant writers community that will make others drool with envy.
Sarah. :)
Thanks for replying Antoinette.
I'll admit, when I first joined this site, it appeared more of an informative type thing. However, they ask people to post their work for peer review, and I think it's such a shame that not many people commit to the process.
Okay, I've had my piece of work on here for a few weeks, which I've recently revised. Although I'd love some opinions, it doesn't bother me that no was has, because it's been critiqued on other forums, so I won't go cry in the corner over it.
That said, it would be great as I've already mentioned, if we could all help each other out a little, even if eveyone managed one a week would be helpful.
Sorry if I'm band-wagoning, but I feel it's important.
Sarah :)
That's a good point, I guess we only post our work so people can tell us if we're good, but we don't take the time to really read and give good criticism (I'll admit I don't read other peoples work on this site)
