I am currently writing a short horror story, i am nearly finished. However i am bored with the whole story, any suggestions on how i can revive it, and get myself interested in it again?

Thank you both for your answers. I am going to try both.
1) I am going to leave it for a bit. And research my next project (Thank you Andrew!)
2) I'll start to watching related films (thanks KL), in a week or two, and i'll combine both of your answers see if that helps??

My suggestion is leave it. Get distracted by something else just for a while, then go back to it with a pair of fresh eyes. You might see something that you didn't notice before because you'd been working on it solidly.
Maybe the beginning is too slow or there's no real chemistry between characters...
I sometimes feel watching related TV programs or films in the genre of my work inspires me. Maybe watch something horror related ? Just don't copy right ;-)
Try typing it up and see how you go. Get people to read it (close friends and family is best) and hear their thoughts.
Try self publishing on Amazon Kindle Direct, its free and might get you inspired a bit more.
