Siew Leng Lee - I would not worry. I am sure that Word is perfectly okay as that is a very common format. But I have some of my work already saved in pdf and was wondering.
I think I have probably answered my own question (with the help of you and Derek) anyway... and word or pdf would be ok.
As long as they get it, right? :)
