When looking at Submission Guidelines they often ask for similar Authors/Titles. My non-fiction book differs to others in the genre. What do I do?

Thank you for your advice. I will definitely promote that. Fingers crossed they like it. Writing can be so irritating. Have had thoughts on content overnight and am now re-arranging. Hopefully it will hang together more logically! Is this what writing to be published is all about - re-draft, re-draft, re-draft.....X

Different is good!

I'd really push that difference eg. 'This book highlights (the subject/s) which (author) and (author) glossed over in their (seminal/famous/well-known) works (titles)' or something similar/expanded. I know it's difficult but if you want to sell your work you're the one to be enthusiastic about it (without being a know-all), at least at the very beginning.

Best of luck :)
