Success stories?

Are there any members of this forum who've had their book "spotted" by an agent or publisher after posting some chapters here?

Check out the comments on my shared work. That's as close as anyone's got, I think.

Although anyone can see the shared work, I wouldn't expect agents to be looking for talent there. Most get enough submissions as it is. I suspect Madeleine Milburn only asked me because she is particularly looking for New Adult and, as her agency is still just shy of a year old and not listed in most people's copy of the yearbook, she probably doesn't get quite as many submissions as the others yet. She an experienced agent, though. I was flattered she thought my work could be good enough and wouldn't rule out working with her in the future, but I've decided not to seek an agent for now.
