Timeframes

When you are writing do you set yourself a strict time frame or approach it more organically? I can't decide if I need to be more regimented in my writing or not?!

Thanks

I took a year out to work on my children's novel and I can honestly I don't think I wrote more than when I was working! All that extra just meant more time for being sidetracked!

Now that I work to word counts it seems to work better for me!

Good question. I'm just about to start with a low daily word count (I think about 500) and then build it up as I get into the habit of finding the time to write a certain amount each day.

I think the word limit is a great idea rather than specific writing time. I agree Kate with the practicalities of home life not fitting with a specific time slot.

Thank you :)
